Por poner en contexto lo que da origen a este homenaje recuerdo de los 56 niños exiliados en la zona de Gales donde se ubica el Newport County, recordar que durante la Guerra Civil se calcula que los niños exiliados superaron la cifra de 50.000. sin ir más lejos en wikipedia podemos leer: "Entre los años 1937 y 1938, en plena guerra civil, salieron de España, con el objetivo de ponerlos a salvo de las hostilidades bélicas, más de 34.000 niños y niñas de familias republicanas a diferentes países europeos que les prestaron refugio. Estos fueron:

Francia, donde llegaron unos 20.000 niños.
Bélgica, que recibió a 5.000.
Gran Bretaña, que recibió a 4.000.
Unión Soviética, donde llegaron 2.895.
Suiza, llegaron 800.
México, recibió a 455.
Dinamarca, acogió a 100."

It´s great to have you here. What a story indeed.

Here´s hoping for a friendly or two soon and I think it´d be fantastic if Athletic Club would do a Black&Amber away jersey next year to mirror your club´s great gesture.

Welcome mate! Pretty sure lots of Athletic fans will buy the jersey online. Really nice gesture from Newport, I hope the club corresponds somehow reciprocally.
